Ruochong “Steven” Cui

Ruochong “Steven” Cui immigrated to the U.S. in 2015 and started his American education in elementary schools in Maryland. He started studying with Mrs. San-Qing Lu Bennaman, a former soloist with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra right after his move to the States. After his admission into Juilliard, he started studying with Dr. Yoheved Kaplinsky and Dr. Yi-Heng Yang. His favorite musical experiences include performing on From The Top, and participating and winning 1st Prize at The Chopin Competition for Children and Youth in Poland. When he is not practicing or working on his music, you can find him watching Netflix, conducting prestigious orchestras from YouTube while brushing his teeth, scrolling through Instagram, and turning the house upside down with his brother.
